Home Rehab

Low-income homeowners are assisted with all forms of rehabilitation including electrical, plumbing, heating, siding, foundation, and roofing. Note:  Due to the volume of applications we receive, there is currently a waiting list for this program.

FHLB Rehab Project

RRVCA has received a $500,000 grant through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines Affordable Housing Program to cover rehab projects in the four county region of Grand Forks, Nelson, Pembina and Walsh. This program is aimed at elderly or disabled clients who are at or below 50% AMI from HUD income limits. Eligible repairs may include roofing, siding, windows, electrical, health & safety, interior repairs, furnace replacement and plumbing.   Due to the volume of applications we receive, there is currently a waiting list for this program.

Home Cents Loan Program

Red River Valley Community Action (RRVCA), utilizing funds provided by the City of Grand Forks, offers low-interest loans for home repair. Loans are available to low- and moderate-income homeowners (a single person can make up to $49,500 and still qualify).

Properties eligible for this program must be owner-occupied for one year or more, the house must be at least 15 years-old and be located within the boundaries of 32nd Ave to the south, Columbia Rd to the west, the Red River to the east and city limits to the North.
